Curator
Pablo Aravena is a Chilean director, producer and curator based in London. Graduated in audiovisual production from Concordia University in Canada, he has worked for years as a freelancer in the Montreal audiovisual industry, in addition to directing short films and music videos. Interested in exploring the multiple dimensions of urban culture through audiovisual language, he directed "Next: A Primer on Urban Painting" (2005), filmed in 9 countries and with a long trajectory in international festivals. In parallel, he is dedicated to curating different exhibitions and shows in the United States and Europe.
First audiovisual exhibition entirely dedicated to films that reveal the universe of Urban Art, bringing to the public a wide panorama of production on the subject from the 1980s to the present day. It exhibited more than thirty works from over ten countries, including documentaries, fictions, animations and interactive films, some of which were shown for the first time in Brazil with subtitles in Portuguese. October 23 to November 4, 2012, Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
