Director Eliza Capai is a journalist and documentary filmmaker graduated from ECA / USP. He is dedicated to making films that discuss contemporary social issues. His latest feature film, "I hope your (re) back" (2019), premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and won the Peace and Amnesty International Award. The film was released at more than 80 festivals and won more than 20 awards. His short film "Severinas" (2014) was a finalist for the García Márquez Award for Iberoamerican Journalism. He directed two more feature films: "O Jabuti ea Anta" (2016) and "Tão Longe é Aqui" (2013), both with long careers in national and international festivals.
Synopsis Based on the memories of a long journey, a letter is sent to the future. Alone, far from home and on the eve of her 30th birthday, a Brazilian woman sets out on a journey across the African continent. In the letter to her daughter, she tells of encounters with women who live in their cultures and times. A diary, a roadmovie and an invitation to all the people who lead their own paths.
